Tarrochini

Tarrochini originally come from Bologna in the Emilia-Romagna region Italy. The game and cards originated as a trick-take card game and has evolved into a more complex game over time. It also sparked the origin of tarot reading. The original deck (consisting of 78 cards) was reduced to a 62 card deck called the Bolognese pack somewhere in the 16th century.

Over time, travelers began using the original decks (first designed for royalty) to begin a type of game where you see images in the artwork, which project meaning. It evolved into the art form of fortune telling, which lead to the current major arcana based tarot decks today used for divination or clarity.
